Blue Moon Today - Does It Make You Melancholy ?

August 29, 2012: When someone says "Once in a Blue Moon," you know what they mean:  Rare, seldom, even absurd.

This year it means August 31^st.

For the second time this month, the Moon is about to become full.  There was one full Moon on August 1^st/2^nd, and now a second is coming on August 31^st.  According to modern folklore, whenever there are two full Moons in a calendar month, the second one is "blue."

Don't forget to look at the Blue Moon tonight ... I'm sure it will be a beautiful site.  Happiness all.

Enchanting Felted Sheep - How Cute Is This !

I was again fortunate enough to win a contest at the Trooping Fairies team treasury challenge.  I love this so cute felted lamb and plan to tuck this into my daughter's Yule stocking this coming holiday season.  The picture just doesn't do it justice ... this little one is so much cuter in person.  I know she will love this lamb as she so loves to knit and hopes that someday she will have real live sheep of her own.  She would love to learn to spin on her very own spinning wheel.  I know it will happen ... Mother Earth - Sacred Earth - Beautiful And Mysterious

My daughter and I watched Sacred Planet recently.  How beautiful and stunning all living things on our home, Mother Earth, are.  If only most of us could remember who we really are .... if only.

Below are two of my favorite quotes from this section of the film.

Isn't that just wonderful?  This is just a part of the film ... it goes all over the planet to where indigenous people still are living the simple life ... how are ancestors all lived.  Such wisdom and joy there.

May you all have a Peaceful Heart and are Compassionate and Kind to all living things. 

Arch Angel Michael - My Protector and Spirit Guide

I know that Michael is watching out for me and my little family.  For many reasons.  One is simply that I asked him to and I believe angels just loved to be asked and acknowldged.  Of course I ask my Guardian Angels for their love, guidance and protection ... but Michael, well he truly speaks to my soul.  Another reason is that a wonderful woman whom I refer to as the Angel Lady (that's another miraculous story) can see him on my left side with a determined face ... determined to protect me.  She also saw on my left side a short woman poking me in the shoulder as if to say "I'm here".  Well I know who that is, my beloved mother.  I wish I was able to see her ... but many times I can feel her sweet spirit ... it makes me cry because I miss her so ... but happy to know she is also watching over me.  

The video is so relaxing and gives you peace.  I just wish it was longer.

COMPASSION - I strive to have a compassionate heart

Recently I ran across a elderly lady who lacked compassion, which I always find surprising, but especially when I find this in the elderly.  Seems to me we can hope to grow with compassion and wisdom when we age but I’m learning that’s just not the case.  So, surrendering to not judge her, I’ve been looking at my compassion quotes and affirmations to help me become more compassionate towards her and other who are not in touch with their compassion, love, and spirit.  They all go hand in hand, don’t you think?  Below is one of my favorite quotes.  I’ve read that Einstein went back and forth on whether there is a Divine Source … and that makes him so much more human.  Faith is a gift … and it doesn’t make one better than someone else … just more fortunate.
