Fairy Poem "The Stolen Child" and Fairy Of Delight Whimsical Folk Art Print

Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.
~William Butler Yeats, "The Stolen Child"

I delight my soul in simple and small things.

I simply adore this. What medium do you use? Mixed? Your colours are strong and lines clean. Just so wonderful. It looks like a bit of zentangles in the patterning. I love your patterning. This is just so great. *smiles* Norma

I love that poem, and the beautiful photo goes with it perfectly; I can almost see the faeries on the wild side of the garden gate.

Your 'Fairy of Delight' is simply that: Delightful! And cheerful, too. I love the strong, bright colors.

Blessings to you...

Victoria

Gina, thanks so much, you "got" everthing I was envisioning with this post ... that is so wonderful.

FairyyellowbugQueen, thanks so much for your comment and I am so happy you like my fairy girls. I don't know where the patterning comes from...I sit down and it just comes to me, from where?? I expect the fae folk playing with me. I mostly use copic pens and inks and some acrylic and watercolors from time to time. I love vibrant and colorful fairies ... that's how they feel in the fairyland I have imagined.

Dearest Stacy, thanks so much for your comments ... I really do appreciate them.

Dearest Victoria, thanks for coming back to my blog and commenting. It means the world to me. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we go travel beyond those gates into fairyland?

Peace and Happiness to all.

If it were only possible to go through the gate... your painting is a spot of cheer, the possibilities to engage w/the wee folk. TFS!
