Enchanted Fairy Woods Filled With Magic Whimsical Folk Art Print

The Song of Wandering Aengus
~~Willaim Butler Yeats
I went out to the hazel wood,
Because a fire was in my head,
And cut and peeled a hazel wand,
And hooked a berry to a thread;
And when white moths were on the wing,
And moth-like stars were flickering out,
I dropped the berry in a stream
And caught a little silver trout.
When I had laid it on the floor
I went to blow the fire aflame,
But something rustled on the floor,
And some one called me by my name:
It had become a glimmering girl
With apple blossom in her hair
Who called me by my name and ran
And faded through the brightening air.
Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among the long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.

Greetings lovers of the fairy folk.  Today, I'm hightlighting this sassy redheaded fairy.  I am so happy how she came out ... I really don't know where all of these delightful fairies comes from ... but I like to think the fairy folk have a hand in it.  Enjoy!

Blossom Fairy Art Card - OOAK - Quote and Poem by William Blake

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. ~Anais Nin

The Blossom ~William Blake
Merry, merry sparrow!
Under leaves so green
A happy blossom
Sees you, swift as arrow,
Seek your cradle narrow,
Near my bosom.
Pretty, pretty robin!
Under leaves so green
A happy blossom

I'm highlighting my Blossom Fairy Art Card ACEO which I just re-listed today at my Etsy shop.  Embellished with a vintage, Art Nouveau touch.  Enjoy and thanks for looking.

Peace, Joy and Happiness to all.

Fairy Poem "The Stolen Child" and Fairy Of Delight Whimsical Folk Art Print

Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

All You Need Is Love - Some Food For Thought - Fairy Of LOVE Whimsical Folk Art Print

"All you need is love.
But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt."
~Charles M. Schultz

And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

- Marianne Williamson.

I read through "The Course In Miracles" some years ago.  It has changed me for life ... and put me on the path of spiritual self-discovery.  The one big, huge thing I got from it was LOVE is all there is, LOVE is the answer.  So simple, but yet so very hard to comprehend.  It's strange, we don't comprehend, but somewhere "inside", where our Sweet Soul dwells, everything is understood.

Happiness, Peace and LOVE to all !

Mermaid Assemblage Alterted Art Piece

The Sea Maid
from Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream
To where I watch on the yellow sands,
and they pluck sweet music with sea-cold hands.
They bring me coral and amber clear.
But when the stars in heaven appear,
their music ceases, they glide away.
They swim for their grottoes across the bay.
Then listen only to my shrill tune,
the surfy tide, and the wondering moon.

Today, I would like to highlight a Mermaid Assemblage Altered Art piece that I recently listed at my Etsy shop.  As with most of my altered art pieces, I give them a "vintage/Victorian" feel but at the same time it is contemporary.  Please feel free to visit a while there.

I bow to the Divine within you.  I honor the place within you where the whole Universe dwells.

Fairy Queen - Inspires and Guides

Greetings all who come in Peace and Compassion.  Below is my Fairy Queen Plaque Altered Art Piece that is available at my Etsy Shop.  She has a "vintage" feel to her and there is a fairy poem on the back so you can use this as a plaque or an "ornament".

Many a time I have pondered about the Fairy Queen.  From early childhood, through the years until the present moment.  Mysterious and marvelous is she … real to me and existing in my heart and soul.  She can be found somewhere on this earthy plane, not to be seen by most.  Still, a favored few can see her if only from afar.

I will be coming back to write of her from time to time.  Below is a marvelous poem by Kipling.  It just sings to my heart.  I hope it does for you as well.

I have a thousand men," said he,
"To wait upon my will;
And towers nine upon the Tyne,
And three upon the Till."
"And what care I for your men? " said she,
"Or towers from Tyne to Till?
Still you must go with me," said she,
"To wait upon my will.
And you may lead a thousand men
Nor ever draw the rein,
But before you lead the Fairy Queen
'Twill burst your heart in twain."
He has slipped his foot from the stirrup-bar,
The bridle from his hand,
And he is bound by hand and foot
To the Queen of Fairy Land.
~Rudyard Kipling~

The Goddess Tarot - I Used It As An Oracle

Greetings all people who gather in Peace and LOVE.   I don't really read the tarot cards ...but I do try an oracle reading from time to time.  The other day I decided to try my hand at an oracle reading for myself and my situation in life at the moment from The Goddess Tarot.  I was inspired by the Etsy Tarot Readers Guild which I recently joined.  I really admire anyone who is good at reading tarot cards ... I do believe it is a gift and that we all can learn to get in touch with our intuition through practice, meditation, ritual and prayer.

Well, I drew two cards ... I just wanted one but low and behold two were stuck together, so I assumed I was meant to see both.  You can see what there were below.

The first one I drew and looked at was the Goddess of Fertility (III) and then Gaia (XXI).  This whole deck of cards are just beautiful, by the way.

I felt these were a very good omen for me indeed, especially with the Gaia card which can mean experiencing a connection with the universe.  I have been experiencing this for some time now, and it has been growing and growing.   It can also mean a sense of expansion and hope.

The Fertility Goddess (the benevolent Navajo corn Goddess) can mean feeling of fertility and abundance and creativity.  Now there is no way it can be a pregnancy, so perhaps abundance in my creativity/art.

For your convenience, I have a link to Amazon where you can find this deck.  I bought this deck quite a few years ago and had the workbook but alas I have misplaced that book.  Oh well, it will turn up when I'm meant to find it.

Doing this helped me into that "good" feeling place that it so needed to move on to the good things in life that our Holy Mother so wants for all of  us ... so in the end this was a very positive moment for me.

Any ideas on the meaning of these is welcomed ... positive ones that is.
Happiness, Abundance, Health and LOVE to ALL !

Fairy Of Sweet - Art Print, Positive Affirmation and Positive Quotes

I release any unpleasantness from the past and let it sail away.
I envision it going through the mists of my memories,
over the horizon, and out of sight.
LOVE rushes in to fill
any empty places within my heart or mind. Now I am free
to do what is before me and free to do it better than ever
before. I am free to enrich my life and everything concerning me.

Teachers Are Magical !

I created this Fairy especially for a teacher that I had the privilege of getting her name in a gift exchange. Although we have never “met” I knew she was a teacher, and one who was grateful for her job since she was laid off as a regular teacher and was happy to get a job teaching migrant workers. How wonderful she is, and how lucky to have such a meaningful job. So I have offered this fairy with embellishments at my Etsy store. She is my Teachers Are Magical Fairy … and they are, aren’t they … at least the good ones are. I know there are not so good teachers, but how can we expect to have all excellent ones when they are so underpaid and disrespected by the general population. I do know that everyone has had a magical teacher sometime in their life … so I hope this brings back memories for you. Good ones, that is.

" I am not a teacher, but an awakener" ~Robert Frost

There is no job more important than yours,
no job anywhere else in the land.
You are the keepers of the future;
you hold the smallest of hands.

Into your care you are trusted
to nurture and care for the young,
and for all of your everyday heroics,
your talents and skills go unsung.

You wipe tears from the eyes of the injured.
You rock babies brand new in your arms.
You encourage the shy and unsure child.
You make sure they are safe from all harm.

You foster the bonds of friendships,
letting no child go away mad.
You respect and you honor their emotions.
You give hugs to each child when they're sad.

You have more impact than does a professor,
a child's mind is molded by four;
so whatever you lay on the table
is whatever the child will explore.

Give each child the tools for adventure,
let them be artists and writers and more;
let them fly on the wind and dance on the stars
and build castles of sand on the shore.

It is true that you don't make much money
and you don't get a whole lot of praise,
but when one small child says "I love you",
you're reminded of how this job pays.

I’ve had two teachers that I can remember that have inspired and enriched my life. They were both High School teachers. One was a history teacher and the other an English teacher. One made history come alive and I’ve enjoyed history books and movies and documentaries since and the other gave me Shakespeare. She made his works comes alive in the classroom … all of us, and I mean all, became enthralled with him. So, I love all of his works, simply fabulous. How much we lost. Think about how everybody talked back then … we are like baboons compared to them, me included. I see how clumsy I express myself with our present day English and I’m embarrassed. But, I do carry on as we all must.

Fairy Presence and Approaches

Greetings all lovers of the Faery Folk. I have gathered this information through the years regarding signs of fairy approach and presence … some of these signs could also be, some might say, the presence of spirits. I know, I know I watch too much Ghost Adventures. But, it’s so much fun and very interesting not to mention a tad bit scary. Please feel free to comment and add any other signs that you may know of.

Signs of Faeries Approach and Presence - . A sudden unexplained trembling or whispering of leaves. A whirlwind or dust devil. The bending of grass blades with no perceptible cause. Sudden unexplained chills and goose bumps when alone in nature. The feeling of an insect walking through your hair, when there is none. A rippling of the water when not caused by a fish, a breeze or something tangible. Extreme silliness and times of uncontrolled laughter. An unexplainable loss of time.

Fairy Poem, HOPE quotes and Comfort Fairy

Greetings and Good Intentions To All ! Below is another poem from Mistress Meg, with permission of course. I'll be sure to link to her when she does get a blog. I like her poems, they make me twinkle!

IT’S ME AGAIN !!!
Each day I look and live in hope

Some fairies there?..........Oh nope.

Another day - and no-one here,

A wilting fairy, me, I fear.

And so I slowly fade away,

Perhaps one will come.....another day.

Until then, I’ll bid adieu,

With glittery wishes - from me to you.

~Mistress Meg~

HOPE – that sure is something we all need….how can we live without it? Here are some quotes on hope to give you a bit more if you need it.

“Hope, like the gleaming taper's light, adorns and cheers our way; and still, as darker grows the night, emits a brighter ray.” Oliver Goldsmith (1730-1774)

“Hope is the thing with feathers, which perches in the soul, and sings the tune without words, and never stops at all.” ~Emily Dickinson

“Never let go of hope. One day you will see that it all has finally come together. What you have always wished for has finally come to be. You will look back and laugh at what has passed and you will ask yourself... 'How did I get through all of that?

I have included my COMFORT Fairy ... still have to create HOPE Fairy in the future ... may you have comfort all of your days, and give comfort and kindness to all that you meet.

Faerie Fairy Eleven Star Information And Lore

Faerie – Fairy - Elven Star:

Seven Pointed Stars, called "Faerie or Elven Stars" represent a gift from Faerie to humans to bridge the understanding between the Mortal human realm and that of Faerieland. The 7 pointed star is known as a gateway symbol, a Gate or entrance between our world and that of Faery, the Otherworld. Each point on the star represents a gateway or path of the Higher Self to prepare one for entrance into Faery.

The seven pointed star has a few names: septagram, septacle, Elven Star or Fairy Star. The number seven corresponds to the spirit realm, which is why this symbol is associated with elves or fairies. It is also a representation of those who believe in Faeries, consider themselves to be Fae, or blessed by the Fae.

This seven-pointed star (septagram) represents a belief in fairies and magic. Each of the seven points is believed to have a different meaning, although there are several common interpretations.
Some say each point represents a pathway, or the "seven rays of manifestation of the Higher Self."

1 - power, personal will and determination
2 - unconditional love, wisdom and growth

3 - knowledge and intelligence

4 - harmony and tranquillity

5 - the powers of mind and science

6 - devotion and honesty

7 - magic

Another premise is that the points signify the seven magical elements - earth, air, fire, water, light, life and magic - or the inner and outer elements - earth, air, fire, water, heaven, earth and self. A further suggestion is that they represent the seven directions - north, south, east, west, above, below and within.

The number seven is believed to be a magical or lucky number, and can be used to indicate appreciation and knowledge of fairies.

I have included a picture of my CREATE Fairy. I always like promote my art which you can find at my Etsy Shop ... just click on Etsy on the right. Happiness and Abundance To All and Pass On The Good Intentions To All That You Meet.

Moonstone Lore - GLOW Fairy and SHINE Fairy

Some Moonstone Lore for your enjoyment !

MOONSTONE - "a feeling stone"

MOONSTONE has long been known as the "traveler's stone" and been used for protection. Moonstone is also considered to be a stone of good fortune. The energy of Moonstone is balancing, introspective, reflective, and lunar. Its energy relates to new beginnings. It is a stone for hoping and wishing, allowing one to absorb that which is needed, rather than wanted. Moonstone is used to cleanse negativity from all chakras. It stimulates confidence and composure. It is said to promote ease in pregnancy and childbirth, to relieve the symptoms of pre-menstrual stress and change of life. According to legend, the brightness of the moonstone increases as the new moon becomes full and Indians consider it sacred as it is believed that one can see into the future if the stone is held in the mouth when the moon is full.

Chakra: Naval, solar plexus Vibrates to the number 4

The energy of Moonstone is balancing, introspective, reflective, and lunar. It is capable of helping one with the changing structures of one's life on the physical, emotion, mental, and spiritual levels. The energy relates to "new beginnings". Moonstone is a stone for hoping and wishing; to recognize the "ups and downs"; assists one in sustaining and maintaining, and understanding the destiny one has chosen. It cleanses negativity from the chakras; stimulates confidence and composure. It is used for protection against the perils of travel. Moonstone is also a talisman of good fortune. This is a very, very busy mineral !

Moonstone is a “stone of new beginnings.” As its name suggests, it is strongly connected to moon and to the intuition. Like the moon, the stone is reflective and reminds us that, as the moon waxes and wanes, so everything is a part of a cycle of change. Its most powerful effect is that of calming the emotions. Moonstone makes conscious the unconscious and promotes intuition and empathy. Moonstone has traditionally been used to enhance psychic abilities and to develop clairvoyance.

Psychologically, Moonstone calms overreactions to situations and to emotional triggers. Emotionally, Moonstone soothes emotionally instability and stress, and stabilizes the emotions. Moonstone provides deep emotional healing and heals disorders of the upper digestive tract that are related to emotional stress.

Myth & Lore: Moonstone is associated with all Goddesses, but especially the Moon Goddesses. Resembling the Moon or "moonshine", the ancient Romans believed the stone was actually formed from moonlight. In the Orient, people believed Moonstones were actual rays of moonlight that had solidified, and that the shimmering light held within the stone was a good spirit that lived there. People in ancient India also thought along these lines, and the stone is still considered sacred in India today.
Amulets of Moonstone were frequently hung in fruit trees to ensure fruitful and abundant crops. In Asia and Europe the stone was associated with love and fidelity and was often worn when trying to attract a faithful lover. It was believed that if held in the mouth, Moonstone would help one make proper decisions. This versatile stone was also used in ancient times to cure insomnia. Due to its association with water, Moonstone is said to be protective of those at sea. It is also protective of those that travel at night and especially during New Moon phases. It was also thought to protect against insanity, epilepsy, and any adverse wanderings of the mind. The ancient Greeks called Moonstone "Aphroselene" after the Goddesses Aphrodite (love) and Selene (moon).

Pearl, Moonstone and Alexandrite are the birthstones of the month of June.

A popular semi-precious stone, Moonstone comes in a variety of colors and shades, but is most often a whitish-blue. Other colors range anywhere from colorless to silvery-white, yellow to orange, green to gray, brown, peach, pink and a type that is multi-colored called Rainbow Moonstone. Other names for Moonstone are Ceylonese Opal, Water Opal, Girasol, Fish-Eye and Wolf's-Eye. The highest and most sought after quality Moonstones come from Sri Lanka.
