Letting go of our past negative experiences and feelings is something that I know will help us really live in the present ... and after all, that's all there really is (beside LOVE of course).
All negativity is caused by an accumulation of psychological time and denial of the present. Unease, anxiety, tension, stress, worry-- all forms of fear—are caused by too much future and not enough presence. Guilt, regret, resentment, grievances, sadness, bitterness and all forms of non-forgiveness are caused by too much past and not enough presence.
Here's a wonderful affirmation that you could use to release any negativity from your past ... I know I have a lot to let go of and try to do that every day.
I am at peace with my past. I choose to release the past now. I move forward by letting go of the past. I choose to forgive myself and others. I am grateful and happy to experience new joys in life.
