Enchanted Fairy Woods Filled With Magic Whimsical Folk Art Print

The Song of Wandering Aengus
~~Willaim Butler Yeats
I went out to the hazel wood,
Because a fire was in my head,
And cut and peeled a hazel wand,
And hooked a berry to a thread;
And when white moths were on the wing,
And moth-like stars were flickering out,
I dropped the berry in a stream
And caught a little silver trout.
When I had laid it on the floor
I went to blow the fire aflame,
But something rustled on the floor,
And some one called me by my name:
It had become a glimmering girl
With apple blossom in her hair
Who called me by my name and ran
And faded through the brightening air.
Though I am old with wandering
Through hollow lands and hilly lands,
I will find out where she has gone,
And kiss her lips and take her hands;
And walk among the long dappled grass,
And pluck till time and times are done
The silver apples of the moon,
The golden apples of the sun.

Greetings lovers of the fairy folk.  Today, I'm hightlighting this sassy redheaded fairy.  I am so happy how she came out ... I really don't know where all of these delightful fairies comes from ... but I like to think the fairy folk have a hand in it.  Enjoy!

Blossom Fairy Art Card - OOAK - Quote and Poem by William Blake

And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. ~Anais Nin

The Blossom ~William Blake
Merry, merry sparrow!
Under leaves so green
A happy blossom
Sees you, swift as arrow,
Seek your cradle narrow,
Near my bosom.
Pretty, pretty robin!
Under leaves so green
A happy blossom

I'm highlighting my Blossom Fairy Art Card ACEO which I just re-listed today at my Etsy shop.  Embellished with a vintage, Art Nouveau touch.  Enjoy and thanks for looking.

Peace, Joy and Happiness to all.

Moonstone Lore - GLOW Fairy and SHINE Fairy

Some Moonstone Lore for your enjoyment !

MOONSTONE - "a feeling stone"

MOONSTONE has long been known as the "traveler's stone" and been used for protection. Moonstone is also considered to be a stone of good fortune. The energy of Moonstone is balancing, introspective, reflective, and lunar. Its energy relates to new beginnings. It is a stone for hoping and wishing, allowing one to absorb that which is needed, rather than wanted. Moonstone is used to cleanse negativity from all chakras. It stimulates confidence and composure. It is said to promote ease in pregnancy and childbirth, to relieve the symptoms of pre-menstrual stress and change of life. According to legend, the brightness of the moonstone increases as the new moon becomes full and Indians consider it sacred as it is believed that one can see into the future if the stone is held in the mouth when the moon is full.

The energy of Moonstone is balancing, introspective, reflective, and lunar. It is capable of helping one with the changing structures of one's life on the physical, emotion, mental, and spiritual levels. The energy relates to "new beginnings". Moonstone is a stone for hoping and wishing; to recognize the "ups and downs"; assists one in sustaining and maintaining, and understanding the destiny one has chosen. It cleanses negativity from the chakras; stimulates confidence and composure. It is used for protection against the perils of travel. Moonstone is also a talisman of good fortune. This is a very, very busy mineral !

Moonstone is a “stone of new beginnings.” As its name suggests, it is strongly connected to moon and to the intuition. Like the moon, the stone is reflective and reminds us that, as the moon waxes and wanes, so everything is a part of a cycle of change. Its most powerful effect is that of calming the emotions. Moonstone makes conscious the unconscious and promotes intuition and empathy. Moonstone has traditionally been used to enhance psychic abilities and to develop clairvoyance.

Psychologically, Moonstone calms overreactions to situations and to emotional triggers. Emotionally, Moonstone soothes emotionally instability and stress, and stabilizes the emotions. Moonstone provides deep emotional healing and heals disorders of the upper digestive tract that are related to emotional stress.

Myth & Lore: Moonstone is associated with all Goddesses, but especially the Moon Goddesses. Resembling the Moon or "moonshine", the ancient Romans believed the stone was actually formed from moonlight. In the Orient, people believed Moonstones were actual rays of moonlight that had solidified, and that the shimmering light held within the stone was a good spirit that lived there. People in ancient India also thought along these lines, and the stone is still considered sacred in India today.
Amulets of Moonstone were frequently hung in fruit trees to ensure fruitful and abundant crops. In Asia and Europe the stone was associated with love and fidelity and was often worn when trying to attract a faithful lover. It was believed that if held in the mouth, Moonstone would help one make proper decisions. This versatile stone was also used in ancient times to cure insomnia. Due to its association with water, Moonstone is said to be protective of those at sea. It is also protective of those that travel at night and especially during New Moon phases. It was also thought to protect against insanity, epilepsy, and any adverse wanderings of the mind. The ancient Greeks called Moonstone "Aphroselene" after the Goddesses Aphrodite (love) and Selene (moon).

Pearl, Moonstone and Alexandrite are the birthstones of the month of June.

A popular semi-precious stone, Moonstone comes in a variety of colors and shades, but is most often a whitish-blue. Other colors range anywhere from colorless to silvery-white, yellow to orange, green to gray, brown, peach, pink and a type that is multi-colored called Rainbow Moonstone. Other names for Moonstone are Ceylonese Opal, Water Opal, Girasol, Fish-Eye and Wolf's-Eye. The highest and most sought after quality Moonstones come from Sri Lanka.
